Lenovo has responded to complaints about 'Superfish', a program that was present on their products and had been apparently feeding users ads while spying on their activity. The program also left holes in the overall security of the affected computers, which put owners at risk for potential viruses and spyware that they normally would not have gotten. As someone who uses Lenovo products daily, this worried me slightly, as I wondered if any of my important information, such as my saving account, could have been compromised. Fortunately for those of us who use their products, Lenovo has removed Superfish from their servers and according to sources, this action has removed the program from any product that it was present on, allowing us all to breath easy. Personally the fact that such a program was present on their products raises some questions as to why such a program was present and likely alienated some consumers.
